Asthma and Allergies
Participants will accomplish the following:
Knowledge: Describe symptoms and causes of asthma and allergies.
Comprehension: Identify asthma/allergy triggers in the home environment.
Application:
- List examples of low-cost actions to reduce asthma/allergy triggers in the home, including dust mites, pests, pets, mold, second-hand smoke, nitrogen dioxide (byproduct of burning fuel), and other irritants (chemicals, cleaners, air fresheners, perfumes, hair sprays, pesticides, scented or unscented products, cold air, and outdoor pollution).
- Identify resources for assistance with these topics.
