Youth Poultry
Mississippi youth have a variety of educational poultry opportunities to enjoy! No matter your age or interest, there is a program for you. Activities include poultry production of all types, poultry and poultry products judging, preparing foods using poultry products, and public presentations on the many topics within the poultry program. 4-H’ers can compete in activities at the county, district, state, and national levels. Rewards include an increased appreciation of the influence of the poultry industry on our lives and recognition in the form of awards, prizes, trips, and even scholarships!

When Becky Baker enrolled her three children in 4-H, her main goal was to get them involved in the public speaking program.
Children who enjoy hands-on learning and want to showcase their accomplishments and compete against fellow participants can join the 4-H Poultry Chain Project.
The 4-H Poultry Chain Project regularly receives generous donations from organizations across the state, but the project has never received a donation quite like Southern AgCredit’s pledge of $25,000 over 5 years.
