4-H Day at the Fair

The 2023 4-H Day at the Fair, held annually at the Mississippi State Fair each October, hosted hundreds of Mississippi 4-H’ers at the Jackson fairgrounds. 4-H’ers participated in beef, pork, poultry, and omelet cooking competitions. These young people enjoyed showing off the essential skill of cooking! By developing their culinary skills and nutritional knowledge, these 4-H’ers are learning STEAM skills, short for science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. 4-H STEAM teaches children to explore what’s possible and how to respond to real-world challenges.
