MISSISSIPPI STATE -- Partners of the Early Years Network are taking their services on the road in September to support the state’s child care providers.

The Early Years Network is a system of services provided by the Mississippi State University Extension Service and its partners. The Provider Road Show brings together all the child-care-provider support services funded through the Mississippi Department of Human Services Division of Early Childhood Care and Development.

“The Provider Road Show is a way for child care providers to access all the support services in one place,” said Louise Davis, director of the Early Years Network housed at MSU. “Each session will provide information about the network and gather input on how we can meet providers’ needs through the network.”

On Sept. 9, the Provider Road Show will be in Clarksdale from 1-3 p.m. at the Coahoma County Extension Office and from 6-8 p.m. at the Fine Arts Auditorium at Mississippi Delta Community College in Moorhead. On Sept. 10, the network will be at the Mississippi Public Broadcasting Auditorium in Jackson from 1-3 p.m. and at the MSU Central Mississippi Research and Extension Center in Raymond from 6-8 p.m.

The tour will conclude on Sept. 11 at the Warren Peterson Building Lecture Hall from 1-3 p.m. on the Jackson County Campus of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Gautier. It will be at the MSU Coastal Research and Extension Center in Biloxi from 6-8 p.m. that night.

Early Years Network partners are the MSU Extension Service, the MSU Early Childhood Institute, Quality Stars, Save the Children, the Mississippi Center for Education Innovation, the University of Mississippi Center for Educational Research and Evaluation, and the Center for Child Development and the Institute for Disability Studies at the University of Southern Mississippi.
