MSU Extension hosts ag financial workshop

STARKVILLE, Miss. -- December is a time when many producers seek advice from financial advisors as they plan their crops for the next year. The Mississippi State University Extension Service is hosting a workshop for these consultants.
MSU Extension and the MSU Department of Agricultural Economics are hosting the Agricultural Financial Professionals Workshop Dec. 12. Producers are also invited to attend.
MSU faculty will present information on loans, lending, land values, farm programs, tariffs, trade and crop production budgets. Extension specialists will also provide forecasts for 2019 on row crops, forestry, poultry, specialty crops and the beef and dairy cattle industries.
The daylong conference will be held at Griffis Hall in room 401, located at 500 Bailey Howell Drive on the MSU campus. The workshop begins at 8:30 a.m. and includes lunch.
