From the Field: National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
When October comes around, you not only see the usual fall decorations but also the color pink! From athletes to electrical power linemen, people don the color pink to raise awareness of breast cancer—a disease that is diagnosed in one out of eight women. Our Pontotoc County Extension Office invited Molly May, Miss Mississippi State University 2017, to speak at its Breast Cancer Awareness Month Luncheon this past week. Molly May is a breast cancer survivor with an amazing story. She delivered an inspiring speech and snapped plenty of pictures with luncheon attendees.
