Love Your Pet Day
It’s National Love Your Pet Day, so give those four-legged family members extra special treatment. More noggin’ pats and extra-long walks are in order. But be careful with the treats. Some human foods can be harmful to pets. For dogs, that includes chocolate. Natasha explains in this episode of The Food Factor.

What better day to do something in honor of your pet? Consider donating to the Mississippi Animal Disaster Relief Fund. This fund was created after Hurricane Katrina to help shelters, pet owners, veterinary clinics, and farm entities with immediate animal care needs before, during and after disasters. Donations can be earmarked for use in particular response activities and for specific species or entities, such as dogs and cats, livestock, horses, veterinary clinics, and shelters.
