Pesticide Safety Education – Private Applicator Training

Pesticide Safety Education – Private Applicator Training will provide federally mandated training in pesticide and environmental stewardship to agricultural producers in Mississippi.

Target Audience(s):

Agricultural producers using restricted-use pesticides

Objectives:

Participants will:

  • Learn to identify basic insect anatomy,
  • Learn the importance of pest lifecycles and habits,
  • Understand appropriate use and timing of pest control,
  • Learn effective use of Personal Protective Equipment, and
  • Learn rudimentary sprayer calibration.
