Pesticide Safety Education – Private Applicator Training
Pesticide Safety Education – Private Applicator Training will provide federally mandated training in pesticide and environmental stewardship to agricultural producers in Mississippi.
Target Audience(s):
Agricultural producers using restricted-use pesticides
Objectives:
Participants will:
- Learn to identify basic insect anatomy,
- Learn the importance of pest lifecycles and habits,
- Understand appropriate use and timing of pest control,
- Learn effective use of Personal Protective Equipment, and
- Learn rudimentary sprayer calibration.
