MSU Extension hosts 2018 forage field day

STARKVILLE, Miss. -- The Mississippi State University Extension Service is offering its annual Forage Field Day July 17 to interested producers and agricultural agents.
The event will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the forage unit on the Henry H. Leveck Research Farm at MSU. Attendance is free, but registration is required for meal planning.
Topics covered will include fertility, economics, grazing systems, alfalfa production, and weed and insect control. Experts from the MSU Extension Service, the Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station and private industry will provide information and answer questions related to forage production.
During the field day, participants will have the opportunity to examine MSU’s forage test plots and production system. Dress appropriately for summer outdoor activities.
