MSU invites ag producers to Feb. 16 advisory meeting
RAYMOND, Miss. -- The Central Mississippi Research and Extension Center will host its annual Producer Advisory Council meeting Feb. 16 in Raymond.
Representatives of the Mississippi State University Extension Service and Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station will hear feedback on and direction for their educational programs and research projects.
Agricultural producers served by the center’s 20 southwest county Extension offices and research stations are invited to attend the program from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the McKenzie Arena.
Nine individual commodity sessions will begin at 9:30 a.m., including dairy, ornamentals, vegetables, bees, ag crops, forestry and wildlife, fruits and nuts, small ruminants and swine, and beef, equine and forages.
Posters detailing Extension and Experiment Station educational programming and research will be available for viewing in the general assembly area.
All commodity groups will share their priorities during a general session after lunch.
Deadline for preregistration is Feb. 9. On-site registration begins at 8 a.m. Feb. 16. Lunch will be provided.
McKenzie arena is located at 1178 Seven Springs Road in Raymond, behind the Central Mississippi Research and Extension Center.
