MSU Extension offers online courses, CEUs
MISSISSIPPI STATE -- Learning something new or increasing existing skills may seem difficult to fit into a busy schedule, but online courses available through the Mississippi State University Extension Service make continuing education convenient.
MSU’s Center for Continuing Education offers more than 300 online courses in a variety of subject areas, such as accounting and finance, college readiness, design and composition, personal development, business, computer applications, law and legal, health care and medical, and writing and publishing.
Online courses begin the third Wednesday of each month and last six weeks. Each month, four featured classes are offered at a discount price of $89. Registration for all other courses is $99. MSU employees receive a 10 percent discount on all classes.
Upon successful completion of a course, students can receive a certificate worth 2.4 continuing education units, or CEUs.
“Some of our most popular online courses are Accounting Fundamentals, Grammar Refresher, A to Z Grant Writing, Speed Spanish and Project Management Fundamentals,” said Ashley Fremin, program coordinator for CEUs. “Our self-paced online classes allow people an opportunity to extend their knowledge and skills for the workplace, family and life, even when they have a hectic schedule.”
