Speaker at MSU to address human, wildlife coexistence
MISSISSIPPI STATE – The headline speaker for the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine’s Human-Animal Bond Lecture Series will help participants envision a world where humans and wildlife can better coexist.
Dr. Michael Hutchins, director and CEO of The Wildlife Society, will give his keynote address, “Adventures at the Human-Wildlife Interface,” at 7 p.m. on Oct. 28 in the CVM auditorium on MSU’s main campus.
Hutchins leads The Wildlife Society in their pursuit to create a world where humans and wildlife coexist. He is also an adjunct associate professor at the University of Maryland's Graduate Program in Sustainable Development and Conservation Biology. His work has made a significant impact in wildlife management and conservation. He has traveled to more than 30 countries and six continents and lectures to a variety of groups on the challenges associated with the coexistence of humans and wildlife.
“Dr. Hutchins’ work has made a significant impact in wildlife management and conservation,” said Dr. Ben Nabors, a CVM clinical instructor and an organizer of the Human-Animal Bond Lecture Series.
