MSU biofuels conference scheduled for August 12-13
MISSISSIPPI STATE – Individuals interested in learning about the latest research and development of plant materials into biofuel should attend Mississippi State University’s 2010 Biofuels Conference Aug. 12-13 in Jackson.
The annual conference will be at the Hilton Jackson Hotel, located at the intersection of I-55 and County Line Road. Participants can register online at http://www.biofuelsconference.msstate.edu/registration.
The conference theme is “The Next Generation of Biofuels.” Well-respected researchers will present perspectives about new technologies and updates on their development. Representatives from emerging energy companies will discuss the challenges of commercialization, such as transitioning to new markets, fuel standards and regulatory compliance.
MSU’s conference sponsors include the Sustainable Energy Research Center, the Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station, the Industrial Outreach Service and the Bagley College of Engineering. Several science foundations, private energy organizations and agricultural interest groups are event co-sponsors.
