DESCRIPTION

The Boot Camp will meet on Tuesday nights on the following dates

  • January 9, 2018 - (5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.)
  • January 16, 2018- (6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.)
  • January 23, 2018 - (6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.)
  • January 30, 2018 - (6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.)
  • February 6, 2018 - (6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.)

The Financial Fitness Boot Camp, a five week program meeting one night per week, helps individuals build assets by reducing debt, increasing savings and gaining financial confidence. Over the five weeks through participants will learn how to set realistic and attainable financial goals, develop and maintain a spending plan, take advantage of traditional checking and savings accounts, gain access to low cost bank and credit building products, and learn how good financial management can have a positive impact on their overall quality of life.

During the five weeks, the following topics ae covered:

  • Financial Health, Net Worth, Consumer Rights & Responsibilities & Financial Records
  • Finding Extra Income, Changing Behaviors, Setting Smart Goals & Developing a Spending Plan
  • Banking & Investments - Strategies for Saving
  • Establishing Credit, Building or Re-building Credit & Using Credit Wisely
  • Debt Management Strategies, Money Traps, and Predatory Lending.

The Financial Fitness Boot Camp is for individuals who are:

  • Unbanked or under-Banked
  • Credit challenged
  • Interested in learning to budget
  • Interested in saving and investing
  • Preparing for home ownership
  • Looking to take advantage of wealth building opportunities
  • Looking to start a small business
  • Interested in gaining general financial knowledge.
