Tropical Fever
Join MSU Extension and professional floral designer Susie Person, CFD, AIFD in this scintillating, hands-on workshop using glamourous tropical flowers and foliage! We will meet the entire morning at the Lafayette County Extension Office where Susie, the “Peggy Lee of Floristry” will give you Fever as she presents theories and techniques on working with tropical flowers! The program will begin with demonstrations on tropical flower care and handling, and identification of C’est Magnifique varieties. Next, Susie will show us how to manipulate and tailor tropical foliage to make your garden club, event, professional designs, and exhibition floral designs stand out in a crowd! Next, create a fresh floral design using showy tropical flowers and foliage. Your design will have that Big Spender look when you use the techniques you have learned. Bring pruning shears, floral snips, scissors, and a cut flower knife if you know how to use it. No refunds. If you cannot make it, send a friend!
