The Coastal Chapter of Mississippi Master Naturalist have adopted 3 survey routes on the coast (Jackson County) to monitor for nightjar activity in the summer as part of the Nightjar Survey Network’s community science monitoring efforts.

Prior to participation in these surveys, Master Naturalists must attend this training. During this training, we will cover general nightjar background, local species, and monitoring survey protocols.
