MVLA Kenneth Cook Award

Extension Personnel Honored with the MVLA Kenneth Cook Award

The Kenneth Cook Award was established to recognize Extension employees who have gone the ‘extra mile’ and demonstrated strong support for the Mississippi 4-H Volunteer Leaders' Association and 4-H Volunteers across the state.

The recipient is selected by the MVLA Board in appreciation for the hard work and support demonstrated by Extension staff statewide. The nomination form for the Kenneth Cook Award is available below.

Recipients are recognized at the Awards Banquet held at the Bost Conference Center at MSU on Friday, February 27, 2026.

Last year’s (2025) winners included Rebecca Perkins, Dr. Angus Lynn Catchot, Jr., Philip E. Smith, Hunter Heath Null, Art Shirley, Jr., Dr. Jamie Rone Varner
