Description
Join us at the Truck Crops Branch Experiment Station for a hands-on "train-the-trainer" workshop designed to equip Extension Agents, Specialists, and Mentor Growers with the technical expertise needed to guide others in hydroponic food production. This practical, on-site training offers live demonstrations, direct and interactive practice with five hydroponic systems: Dutch bucket, Nutrient Film Technique (NFT), Deep Water Culture (DWC), vertical towers, and indoor vertical farming, featuring model crops like lettuce, basil, and microgreens.
Registration:
To ensure a high-quality, hands-on learning experience, this workshop is strictly limited to 20 participants, and registration will open in two phases:
- Phase 1 (Priority Registration): Open exclusively to MSU Extension Agents, Specialists, and mentor growers until July 31, 2026.
- Phase 2 (General Public): After July 31, any remaining spots out of the 20-person limit will be opened to the general public.
Cost:
- Registration Fee: Free. A complimentary lunch is provided for all registered participants.
- Exclusive Takeaways: All participants can take home live hydroponic harvests, including fresh leafy greens and microgreens. Plus, attendees will have a chance to win a benchtop hydroponic system and other hydroponic supplies as door prizes during the closing raffle!
