Earn Community Service Hours
How are community service hours earned?
After completing training which includes curriculum from the Community Health Advocate training manual from UMMC coupled with a leadership/teambuilding and volunteer standards of excellence training from MSU Extension, volunteers will begin work toward their certification. All volunteers are required to give back 24 hours of community service over the school year. This can range from delivering health messages, one-on-one or in a group setting, to carrying out group projects that promote health and wellness in the community.
