2026 General Pest Management Workshop

Description

The 2026 General Pest Management Workshop will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at the Central Mississippi Research and Extension Center in Raymond, MS. Topics on pesticide safety and regulation, disease management, insect management, and weed management will be included in the program. Please see the enclosed agenda for specific topics to be presented. The program will begin at 8:45 AM and will end at 4:15 PM. Registration will begin at 8:00 AM. Lunch will be provided.

Registration and payment of the $25.00 regular registration fee by Monday, March 16, 2026, is required to reserve a spot in this workshop. After March 16, 2026, anyone interested in attending the workshop must contact Dr. Rebecca A. Melanson (contact information below) at the Central Mississippi Research and Extension Center to determine availability of space. Registration may be completed by sending in the registration form (see attached PDF) with your registration fee. Checks must be made payable to “Mississippi State University” and received by March 16, 2026. Please include “Pest Management Workshop” on the check and mail it and your registration form to the address below. 

The 2026 General Pest Management Workshop has been approved by the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce Bureau of Plant Industry (MDAC BPI) for consultant license renewal for categories A, E, G, I, J, K, M, and N (see attached letter); commercial recertification for categories IA, III, VI, VII(C), and X (see attached letter), and for professional services categories AGP, ORP, HCP, HCW, and ROW (see attached letter). Only certificates expiring within 12 months with be reissued.
