Disaster Response
My furniture got damp...
If the entire surface is cloudy, rub with a cloth dipped in turpentine, camphorated oil, or a soft pad dipped in mayonnaise. Wipe dry at once. If this does not work, dip 000 steel wool in oil-linseed, olive, mineral, or lemon; rub wood gently with the grain. For deep spots use a drop of ammonia on a damp cloth. Wipe dry at once. After spots are removed, apply polish, wax, or oil.
