Friendship

In MCV, you will make new friends and build strong relationships with others in your community and beyond. MCV fosters cooperation and working together to build on each other’s unique gifts. MCV is fun!

Service

MCV members are committed to strengthening personal, family, and community life. MCV fosters creativity, caring, and service to others, especially those in need.

What can I learn?

As a member of an MCV club, you can learn about ways to better care for your family and home and become a more active member of your community.

What can I do?

As an MCV member, you can learn about issues affecting your community, including family needs, local culture, the environment, and health and nutrition.

You can work with others in your MCV club to carry out projects to share what you have learned to help others. Here are some projects supported by MCV members in Mississippi:

• Blue Ribbon Campaign: Distribute information on preventing child abuse to schools, churches, and restaurants.
• Children’s Hospital of Mississippi: Sew and donate gowns, blankets, cough pillows, therapy dolls, and other needed items to hospital patients.
• International Program: Sew dresses for schoolgirls, shorts for boys, and tote bags for women in need.
• Ronald McDonald House: Provide essential items to help meet the needs of families during challenging times.

Membership Fee

There is an annual state membership fee of $12 for each MCV club member. In addition, a small fee is added for local dues in some counties.
