STONEVILLE, Miss. -- Catfish farmers and infrastructure personnel are invited to the Fall National Warmwater Aquaculture Center Catfish Seminar Nov. 20.
The seminar will be held at the Capps Center at the Mississippi State University Delta Research and Extension Center in Stoneville from 9:30 a.m. to noon. The DREC is located at 82 Stoneville Road.
Speakers with MSU and the U.S. Department of Agriculture will speak on various topics, including nutrition, genetics, fish health, industry status, water quality and bird depredation.
Registration is free and encouraged by Nov. 17. To register, call 662-686-3269. Lunch will be provided by the Catfish Farmers of Mississippi.
The event is organized by personnel with the MSU Extension Service, Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station and USDA.
