STARKVILLE, Miss. -- Mississippi State University’s annual agricultural outlook conference is expanding to two days starting in 2026.
The MSU Extension Service and MSU Department of Agricultural Economics will host the 2026 Mississippi Agricultural Outlook Conference Jan. 12-13, 2026, at The Mill at MSU.
Producers and farm managers who attend the conference’s first day will focus on providing educational materials and learning opportunities for those interested in improving their farm management and planning skills. Topics include farm financial statements, enterprise budgets and budget generator tools, recordkeeping tools, marketing, landlord-tenant relationships and estate planning and farm succession.
“We welcome anyone -- producers, students or managers -- interested in gaining a deeper understanding of the key tools that support a financially healthy farm business,” said MSU Extension agricultural economist Kevin Kim, who coordinates the conference.
The second day will follow the traditional conference format and feature a comprehensive update on anticipated agricultural economic conditions for 2026, including the areas of farm income, policy and trade, row crops, livestock, budgets, labor, specialty crops and farmland values.
Preregistration for the course is mandatory, but there is no fee. To register and learn more about the program agenda and course speakers, lodging and sponsorship opportunities, visit http://msuext.ms/agoutlook.
