Organic Vegetable Production Workshop

Description

This workshop showcases information beneficial to small farmers pursuing or currently engaged in organic vegetable production. The workshop will have educational sessions on variety selection, nutrient, weed, disease, and insect management, food safety, and scientific updates on horticultural practices for vegetable crops. Pest management principles will include refences to integrated pest management techniques that help reduce chemical reliance and promote sustainable practices. There will also be a session where participants may interact with and see some of the organic IPM resources available for the Southeast US. Curated pest management resources will be given to each registrant.
