Celebrate Dairy Month with Smoothies

Video by Jonathan Parrish

June is National Dairy Month! As the temperatures rise, it is a great time to cool off with a tasty and nutritious dairy-based smoothie. Smoothies can be healthy and hydrating and are a great, family-friendly addition to your summer plans.

Our smoothie recipe combines dairy and fruit to boost hydration. Milk is affordable and offers electrolytes and 8 grams of protein per serving.

One of the best things about making a smoothie is the endless possibilities it offers. You can mix and match fruits and vegetables, add your favorite nuts and seeds, and even experiment with spices to boost the flavor and nutrition of your smoothie. This versatility makes smoothies kid-friendly and a great way to get creative in the kitchen.

Are you lactose intolerant? No worries, we've got you covered. You can still enjoy our smoothie by using lactose-free milk or Greek yogurt as alternatives. For more information on lactose intolerance, check out my article on The Dairy Alliance website.
