Farm Revenues and Profitability for Mississippi Row Crop Producers: 2016

Publication Number: P2991
View as PDF: P2991.pdf

This report is intended as a guide for producers and farm financial specialists to estimate expected farm profitability per acre for selected Mississippi row crops. Crops in this report include corn, soybeans, rice, wheat, sorghum, peanuts, and sweet potatoes. Distinctions are made between irrigated and non-irrigated crops for corn, soybeans, and cotton as these crops typically have large amounts of planted acres in both categories. Other crops either are primarily not irrigated, such as sorghum and wheat, or are mostly produced on irrigated land, as is the case with rice.
