Approximately 500,000 acres of corn were harvested statewide in 2018, including from these Northeast Mississippi rows in Noxubee County. Although 2017 saw a record corn harvest, the cool and wet conditions during late planting in 2018 impacted this year’s yield. Even with the slow start, corn production and harvest brought more than $400 million to the Magnolia State in 2018.
