Arborist conference offers education credits
RAYMOND, Miss. -- Landowners with an interest in the forestry industry are invited to attend the annual conference of the Professional Arborist Association of Mississippi.
The 2018 annual conference will be held at the Eagle Ridge Conference Center in Raymond Jan. 25-26. It features several specialists from the Mississippi State University Extension Service as guest speakers. Registration for the conference costs $150.
The theme for the conference is “Trees Forever.” Topics will include work safety, vegetation management, business planning, urban forestry, and business marketing and branding.
Continuing education units will be available at the conference for certified arborists and utility professionals. Certification exams through the International Society of Arboriculture will also be offered.
The Eagle Ridge Conference Center is located at 1500 Raymond Lake Road in Raymond.
Funding for the event is provided by the Mississippi Forestry Association.
