TOPIC: Assessing Present and Potential Pasture Production: Giving a New Life to Tired Pastures
The Monroe County Cattlemen’s Association will meet on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the MSU Extension Office in the Conference Room. This quarterly meeting is being sponsored by a few local sponsors. This meeting will feature Dr. Rocky Lemus, Extension Research Professor and Forage Specialist from MSU. His specialty areas are Forage Establishment, Grazing Systems and Management, Hay Production, Forage Fertility, and Forage Quality. Dr. Lemus will discuss the importance of assessing forage quality for maximum cattle efficiency and production.
