Juicy, tender cranberry turkey meatballs are coated in a simple pan sauce for superb flavor with only a few simple ingredients. They’re a festive appetizer for your holiday parties but don’t hesitate to enjoy them year-round.

Cranberry Turkey Meatball Appetizers

Ingredients

  • 1 pound 93% lean ground turkey
  • 1 can (14-ounces) whole cranberry sauce
  • ½ cup original flavor barbecue sauce
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ¼ cup whole wheat breadcrumbs
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon low-sodium soy sauce
  • Black pepper to taste

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine ground turkey, egg, green onions, soy sauce, black pepper, and breadcrumbs. Mix well and shape into 24 balls.
  2. Spray a large skillet with nonstick cooking spray and cook turkey meatballs over medium heat until slightly browned. Turn once after browned on one side and continue cooking another 5 minutes or until lightly browned.
  3. Heat cranberry and barbecue sauces in a medium saucepan until well mixed. Pour over turkey meatballs, cover and simmer 10 minutes or until meatballs reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees.
