How to choose backyard bird feeders

2018 arrived with a breath of fresh, frigid air. Colder temperatures can mean limited food for our feathered friends. Many people like to provide supplemental food for birds in the winter, which is a great way to draw birds to your backyard for observation.
But not all feeders are created equal. Different types of feeders attract different types of birds. Let Extension Wildlife Biologist Adam Rohnke explain how to choose the right feeders for the types of birds you want to see. And don’t forget to supply fresh water, especially important in winter when many sources could be frozen.
