Palms and Cycads for the Midsouth Landscape

Publication Number: P2948
Updated: July 19, 2016
View as PDF: P2948.pdf

Palms have been used in exterior and interior landscapes for many years. They have become increasingly popular in exterior landscapes, in part because cold-hardy palms are now available to purchase. Still, there is confusion about what palms and cycads are and how they are cultivated. This publication is designed to help landowners and others with issues related to palms and cycads in exterior landscapes. This publication does not address palms and cycads for interior landscapes, although some species may be used for both. Download the PDF to learn more.
