4-H Shooting Sports is a national program involving more than 300,000 young people, making it one of the largest educational shooting programs of its kind in the United States. In Mississippi, the 4-H Shooting Sports Program involves thousands of young people and continues to grow every year. More than 500 adult volunteer instructors and 4-H agents provide training and leadership to the program in Mississippi.

The Mississippi 4-H Shooting Sports Program also provides several volunteer training opportunities on the state and national levels. Volunteers completing the training are taught through classroom and hands-on activities. This top-quality training is provided to volunteers and young people in order to make the best better.
