Science Scholars summer camp offered at MSU
STARKVILLE, Miss. -- The Science Scholars camp invites all interested high school students to apply to the June 28-30 event at Mississippi State University.
The experience is designed to introduce young people to science, technology and engineering careers through a variety of activities. Students will learn firsthand from scientists about biomedical engineering, natural and agricultural sciences, food science and health promotion, and more.
Participants will get a brief taste of college life by staying in a residence hall, eating at campus dining facilities, and attending lectures and activities in the classroom, lab and field.
A $25 refundable fee is required for registration. Students accepted into the program will receive the refund when they arrive on campus; those who are not accepted will also have the fee returned. Cancellation will result in the loss of the application fee.
Register by June 1 to be considered for the 2023 camp. Registration is limited to 24, and applications are reviewed upon arrival.
