South 4-H Volunteer Leaders Forum

The South Mississippi 4-H Volunteer Leaders Forum will be held Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the Central Research and Extension Center in Raymond.  The theme for the Forum is “4-H Volunteers Lighting the Way”.  The forum will start at 9:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m.  Adults can receive quality training to enhance their involvement in 4-H. The workshop descriptions are included along with a tentative agenda. 

Additional Information:

The Youth Mental Health First Aid Training for adult volunteers will be offered in conjunction with the volunteer forum this year.  This is an 8 hour course that teaches how to help an adolescent experiencing a crisis, facing a mental health challenge, or battling addiction. This training will begin Friday afternoon and continue from 8 a.m. until noon Saturday.  Registered participants will receive a complimentary supper and hotel room for their Friday night stay in Starkville.  Interested volunteers will be able to participate in the afternoon workshops of the forum.  The link to register for the Youth Mental Health First Aid Training is:  Adults who plan to register for afternoon workshops for the forum will need to register for both.
