The 2019 General Pest Management Workshop will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at the Central Mississippi Research and Extension Center in Raymond, MS. Topics on pesticide safety and regulation, disease management, insect management, and weed control will be included in the program. Please see the enclosed agenda for specific topics to be presented. The program will begin at 8:45 AM and will end at 4:00 PM. Registration will begin at 8:00 AM. Lunch will be provided.
Registration and payment of the $20.00 regular registration fee by Thursday, January 17, 2019, is required in order to reserve a spot in this workshop. After January 17, 2019, anyone interested in attending the workshop must contact Dr. Rebecca A. Melanson (contact information below) at the Central Mississippi Research and Extension Center to determine availability of space. Registration may be completed by sending in the enclosed registration form with your registration fee. Checks must be made payable to “MSU CMREC” and received by January 17, 2019. Please include “Pest Management Workshop” on the check and mail it and your registration form to Dr. Melanson (address below).
The 2019 General Pest Management Workshop has been approved by the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce Bureau of Plant Industry (MDAC BPI) for consultant license renewal for categories A, F, G, J, K, L, M, and N (see below). The workshop has also been approved by MDAC BPI for commercial recertification for categories I(A), III, V, VI, and X (see below). Only certificates expiring within 12 months with be reissued.

MSU Extension County Agents may also receive in-service training credit for attending this meeting. Agents planning to attend MUST complete the registration for the meeting. Agents who want to receive in-service training credit must also sign up through the in-service training system to receive in-service training credit.
